Over the past 2 years we have been providing advisory work on market development activities for Rab Processors Ltd one of Malawi’s leading agri-processors, commodity traders and input distributors. This has included marketing material development, project investment feasibility studies and other consulting activities working alongside the senior management team.

On behalf of GALVmed and the African Union, for the past 9 months Wellspring has been managing a component of the EU-funded Vaccines for Control of Neglected Animal Diseases in Africa (VACNADA) project. The aim of VACNADA is to improve the quality and quantity of livestock vaccines produced by eight African laboratories against four key neglected diseases, each of which have major economic and social impacts: Contagious Caprine and Bovine Pleuropneumonias (CCPP & CBPP), Peste des Petits Ruminants (PPR) and Newcastle Disease (ND).
Building on our experience and relationships with out-grower tea associations in Southern Malawi, we have just completed a detailed report with Imani Development (funded by Traidcraft and the Scottish Malawi Trade Partnership) to recommend practical interventions that would tangibly benefit the selected tea association.
