On behalf of GALVmed and the African Union, for the past 9 months Wellspring has been managing a component of the EU-funded Vaccines for Control of Neglected Animal Diseases in Africa (VACNADA) project. The aim of VACNADA is to improve the quality and quantity of livestock vaccines produced by eight African laboratories against four key neglected diseases, each of which have major economic and social impacts: Contagious Caprine and Bovine Pleuropneumonias (CCPP & CBPP), Peste des Petits Ruminants (PPR) and Newcastle Disease (ND).
